White Moss hosted a visit of Jennie Price, Chief Executive, and the non executive directors of WRAP (Waste Resource Action Programme) on Friday 20th January 2006.
The visit was to provide first hand experience of green waste composting at the Simonswood facility which was partly funded by WRAP.
The unique nature of the site was explained by Steve Washington, Managing Director of White Moss, namely that all the green compost is used in horticulture: "I believe that this site is a blueprint for the growing media industry" said Mr. Washington, "which will enable our customers to offer consumers competitively priced, high quality, sustainable alternative products".
