White Moss Horticulture - Winner of the Horticulture Week Awards 2005 for "Best Business Innovation"

Company Profile

White Moss Horticulture has been a manufacturer and supplier of quality horticultural products at our 400 acre Simonswood Moss, situated on the outskirts of Liverpool, for over 50 years.

We are a family run business that first achieved national recognition in 1984 as the principal supplier of growing media to the Liverpool International Garden Festival.

We Produce professional and retail grade compost as well as a comprehensive range of associated products including Top - Soil, Bark, Decorative Stone, Top Dressing and Root Zone.

We have made considerable investment in developing reduced peat and peat free composts that address environmental issues without compromising quality or performance. We never use peat from sites of scientific interest or areas of conservation.

2005 saw the opening of the country's largest composting site dedicated to horticultural products. This £2 million facility will help towards achieving government targets to reduce peat usage and reduce the amount of waste going to landfill.

Our professional growing media contain quality ingredients essential for strong healthy growth. Qualified and experienced staff and the significant investment we have made in our screening and mixing facilities mean that we can satisfy the demands of the professional grower.

White Moss acquired the assets of Richmoor Seery's on 1st March 2004.
